Up to 40 new jobs will be created after a care firm secured a contract to deliver services helping the elderly and those with learning difficulties.

Carewatch will run home care and support services in Wednesbury, West Bromwich, Oldbury and Smethwick.

The contract, which begins on March 1, involves providing home care to residents who are elderly, have learning or physical difficulties, suffer from mental heath illness or are hospital release patients.

The company secured the deal with Sandwell Council.

Shelley Eggison, Branch Manager at Carewatch Sandwell comments: "We're delighted to have been appointed this contract by Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council and are committed to delivering a personal, caring and supportive service to our customers.

"We're looking for compassionate people to join our team of professionals who enable our customers to retain their independence, dignity and security, in their own home."
