Prince's Trust on tour to celebrate charity's decades of work

Hundreds of thousands of young people have been helped by The Prince's Trust since it was founded four decades ago.
More than 825,000 youngsters have been directly supported by the youth charity since 1976, with thousands more fundraising, volunteers or working with the trust over the years.
To celebrate the anniversary, the group has been travelling the country on their #partofPT Tour. The charity travelled to 16 places across the UK, including the Merry Hill Shopping Centre, to speak with people about their experiences with the trust.
Stories from across the tour will be compiled and shared on the web, at partofpt.princes-trust.org.uk
The Prince's Trust was founded by in 1976 by Charles, Prince of Wales.
It has become one of the most successful funding organisations in the UK and the UK's leading youth charity.
As well as supporting 825,000 young people across the country, it has also created 125,000 entrepreneurs and given business support to 395,000 people.
The trust's target groups include the long-term unemployed, people who have been in trouble with the law, people who are in difficulty at school, and people who have been in care.
A small number of employed people are also given the chance to take part in Prince's Trust courses under the the employed participants scheme.
The 40th anniversary celebrations have included a landmark documentary, shown in January, in which Ant and Dec were given the chance to chat with Prince Charles, tracking the journey since the trust was originally set up.
