Dudley Council is proposing to increase council tax by 1.99 per cent, with an further one per cent increase for adult social care services.

It will equate to an extra 65p for the average home in the Dudley borough – a Band B property – and will be used to fund services.

Councillor Steve Clark, cabinet member for finance, said: "This is a relatively small increase in comparison to previous years but will have a massive impact on services for people, who rely on these more than ever before."
