Road reopens in Wolverhampton after car abandoned

A road in Wolverhampton was closed on Thursday morning due to an abandoned car.

National Express buses were diverted from Compton Road.

The incident was reported at 6.45am on Thursday. The road was reopen by 8.30am.

Services10, 10A and all school services were diverted via Clarke Road, Paget Road and Tettenhall Road in both directions.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "A vehicle was found abandoned in Compton Road around 6.15am this morning which had blocked the road.

"The vehicle has now been recovered."
