Crash victim named as Wolverhampton man aged 62

A man killed in a crash in Staffordshire this week has been named as a 62-year-old from Wolverhampton.

Paul Wright, aged 62, died after a collision on the A500 southbound slip road onto the A50, near Stoke-on-Trent, at around 9am on Tuesday.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: "Our thoughts are with Paul's family at this sad time.

"They are receiving the appropriate support from specially trained officers and they have requested that their privacy is respected.

"Officers from the Staffordshire and West Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit are continuing to investigate the incident and would like anyone who may have witnessed the collision, to call 101 quoting incident number 126 of November 27."
