Jessica's 'best day ever' with singer Andre
A girl from Dudley who is fighting cancer enjoyed the "best day ever" when she was granted her wish to meet singer and reality TV star Peter Andre.
Little Jessica Beresford, who is five and battling acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, was given the VIP treatment for the meeting. She was whisked to the Radisson SAS hotel in central London before travelling by stretched pink limousine to the Crazy Bear Club in Covent Garden.
Camera crews were waiting for Jessica who was amazed to find she would be appearing as a co-star on Andre's reality show. She said: "I can't believe I just met Peter. Mummy – did that just happen?" Jessica's mother Debbie Hickman said it had been an unforgettable day for her daughter.
"This has been the best day ever for Jessica, she loves Peter and this day will stay with us forever," she said.
Jessica, was later treated to a meal with her parents at The Rainforest Cafe in Piccadilly Circus.
Andre praised the youngster's courage. He said: "I am so pleased to have met her today, she is a very brave little girl."
The show will be aired on Thursday at 9pm on ITV2.
