All together now ... Clara Manns, Alan Manns, Andrea Manns, baby Scarlet Cleaton (four months) and Chantelle Manns

Great-great grandmother Clara Manns, aged 91, has been able to hold her new great-great granddaughter Scarlett Cleaton, aged four months – before she was only allowed to wave at the baby from the window.

Now the Wednesbury family; including baby Scarlett, her mother 24-year-old Chantelle Manns, her grandmother 45-year-old Andrea Manns, her great-grandfather 67-year-old Alan Manns and her great-great grandmother Clara, have all been able to meet up together in their social "bubble".

Grandmother Andrea Manns said she felt "so lucky" to have such a lovely family.

She said: "It's been hard during lockdown, it's been a worry and it's been hard having to wave to Nan and not see each other properly.

"We're delighted we can see each other a bit more now. And with the baby too, she has brought so much joy, she's a delight to say the least.

"Chantelle has adapted really well, it was hard with the restrictions when she was first born as support was limited but luckily she was living with me at the time.

"We're a very close family so now that we can see each other it's a lot easier.

"It's so absolutely special to have five generations all together and all nearby, I feel very lucky to still have my Nan. It creates special memories and family time."
