Mother-of-two Stacey Green has just become a proud mum-of-four with the sudden appearance of her twins during the early hours of January 1 at Walsall Manor Hospital.

The 38-year-old from Alumwell, Walsall said it was a "really special day" and she was "so happy" her little ones arrived to ring in 2020 with her.

She said: "It was a lovely surprise. I didn't quite expect them to be born on New Year's Day, they were originally due to be born on January 24, but I'm so happy they're here."

Stacey, who works as a healthcare assistant at Walsall Manor, already has a 15-year-old son and a 10-year-old daughter who she said were "so excited" to meet their new siblings.

The babies do not yet have names – the little girl was born first at 2.51am weighing five pounds five ounces, and the little boy followed at 2.53am weighing five pounds two ounces.

Also born at Walsall Manor was baby girl Alice Firth at 5.23am to proud parents Nick and Sarah.
