Eddie Izzard arrived in the Black Country to back Labour on the General Election campaign trail today.

The 53-year-old walked through Halesowen in stiletto heels and delighted passers by as he posed for selfies and urged them to vote on May 7.

Halesowen and Rowley Regis changed hands from Labour to the Conservatives in the General Election in 2010.

Eddie was there to support Labour candidate Stephanie Peacock.

Conservative James Morris is defending a majority of 2,023 votes.

Also standing are Dean Perks for UKIP, John Payne for the Greens and Peter Tyzack for the Liberal Democrats.
