A teenager from the West Midlands has pleaded guilty to terrorism charges.

The 15-year-old from Bartley Green, Birmingham – who cannot be named due to his age – admitted the offences at Westminster Magistrates Court.

West Midlands Police said the charges relate to three counts of possessing a document used to prepare or commit an act of terrorism between May 5, 2020 to June 23, 2020. He was arrested at his home in June 2020.

The boy has been conditionally bailed from court and will next appear at Birmingham Youth Court on May 21 for pre-sentence reports.
