Teen arrested on suspicion of attempted murder as injured man escapes through window
A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was left seriously injured.
The man was attacked with a weapon at a house in Handsworth before he managed to escape through a window and raise the alarm.
Emergency services were called to he house in Chantry Road at 9.20pm on Thursday.
The 48-year-old was taken to hospital where he now remains in a stable condition, West Midlands Police said.
An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remained in police custody on Friday afternoon.
An investigation is underway and a forensic teams have been examining the scene, where a police cordon was put in place.
