Man stabbed in city centre attack

A man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in Birmingham city centre.

Emergency services rushed to Edgbaston Street, next to the Bullring and the markets, just before 8pm on Friday.

The 20-year-old victim was left with injuries not thought to be life-threatening, West Midlands Police said.

And now officers have urged people who may have witnessed the attack to come forward.
