Disgraced Pc dismissed over indecent images of children

A former Black Country police officer who was jailed over indecent images of children has been officially dismissed from the force.

Former Pc Paul Davies, who served as Dudley's young person's officer, was found guilty of gross misconduct at a police misconduct hearing.

Davies, who had served for 29 years, left the force in June 2018, having been arrested in May.

The hearing was was held in Davies' absence, due to him having been jailed for nine months after pleading guilty to making indecent images involving five photos.

The photographs were all from the lowest category for the crime.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: "In relation to the misconduct hearing, PC Paul Davies would have been dismissed from the force."
