Dudley stabbing death: Man released by police as tragedy no longer suspicious

The death of a woman who died after suffering a stab wound in Dudley is no longer being treated as suspicious.

Police were called to Hillside Road, Wrens Nest, on Wednesday morning where the 55-year-old woman was found with serious injuries.

A post mortem has revealed she died from a single stab wound to the chest.

A 65-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

He has been released without charge.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "Her death is not being treated as suspicious and has now been passed to the coroner."
