Man jailed after fatal motorcycle crash

A man has been jailed for his part in a motorcycle crash which killed a 37-year-old Black Country man.

Philip Gray, from Oldbury, was killed when two motorcycles collided on the A5 in Fazeley, near Tamworth on November 20, 2015.

Staffordshire Police's Collision Investigation Unit carried out a detailed probe into the incident.

Steven Porton, aged 29, of Boulevard Walk, Walsall, was subsequently charged and convicted of dangerous driving.

Porton was sentenced at Stafford Crown Court on Friday and was handed a 12-month jail term, given a three-and-a-half year driving ban and will have to take an extended re-test.
