Jammal Chase, 19, has been named as the suspect and his picture has been released.

The public are urged not to approach Chase if seen but to call 999 immediately.

He is originally from Birmingham but currently of no fixed address.

Detective Inspector Paul Joyce, from West Midlands Police, said: "It's important we locate Jammal Chase as soon as possible and I would urge anyone with any information about his whereabouts to contact us.

"I also want to appeal to Jammal directly. Do the right thing and come forward to tell your side of the story."

The wife of Giovanni issued a tribute after her husband's death, saying: "My heart has been ripped apart, Giovanni was my gentle giant and my beloved husband.

"Words cannot express how I feel right now, I do not know how I'm going to get through this, he was my soul mate.

"Giovanni will truly be missed by all, by me, his family and his friends."

Police can be contacted on 101, or to pass urgent information call 999. Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
