'Ask the mayor anything' at event in West Bromwich next week

Residents of the Black Country will get the chance to ask elected mayor Richard Parker any questions they may have about his policies and priorities at an event next week.

Mr Parker, regional mayor for the West Midlands, will be staging an Ask the Mayor Anything event from 6pm to 7.30pm at Sandwell College in Spon Lane, West Bromwich on September 16.

Admission is free, but people are encouraged to book tickets through the Eventbrite website to guarantee their place.

Mr Parker said: “I’ve set out my priorities for the region, but it’s vital that I listen to residents to make sure I stay focused on what matters most to them.

“I’m looking forward to talking to the people of the Black Country about how we’re delivering more social homes, improving bus services, opening-up job opportunities and tackling youth unemployment head-on.

“I also want to understand the community’s concerns, answer their questions, and make sure their views help shape the work that me and my team do.”
