New Boots store opens at Wolverhampton retail park with DJ and voucher giveaways
Bosses at Boots have described the new store on the edge of the city as a “new opportunity, not instead of” its existing flagship Dudley Street outlet
Boots has opened its brand new store in Wolverhampton, with 25 new jobs created.

Customers queued outside ahead of today’s official opening of the new store at St John’s Retail Park on the edge of Wolverhampton city centre - for a chance to be among the first to have a peek inside.
A live DJ brought a party atmosphere to the launch which saw the Boots Advantage Card mascot giving out vouchers for double Advantage Card points.

The health and beauty chain said the new store brings together the very best of its beauty, health and wellness offerings, with a clean and modern layout making it easier for customers to shop for everyday essentials and discover must-have beauty brands and trends.
The new store, which was officially opened at 10am on Wednesday November 4 with a ribbon cutting outside, includes an array of products by trending beauty brands including SheGlam, Sacheu, HNB Cosmetics, Made by Mitchell, plus premium fragrances from the likes of Dior, Tom Ford and YSL and favourites from Wonderskin, plus Boots brands including No7, Liz Earle and Soap & Glory.
It’s also well stocked with supplements and hydration products including Zookie, Absolute Collagen, Myprotein, Perfectil and Wellthy By Boots.

The store also includes a new dedicated Boots Hearingcare and Opticians which was hosting a spin the wheel event with prizes up for grabs on opening day.
The opticians offers private eye tests, contact lens aftercare and free contact lens fitting and trials, and an array of enhanced eye care services including pre and post-operative cataract care plus the Community Urgent Eyecare Service (CUES). The services aim to make essential eye care more accessible to the community.
The facility also offers the Boots Opticians' Ultimate Eye Test, which provides a comprehensive picture of eye health by scanning up to 82 per cent of the retina, compared with 15 per cent typically covered by a traditional eye test. The scan is non-invasive and can help identify signs of wider health conditions, including diabetes, high blood pressure and certain tumours.
The store also has a dedicated healthcare area with two private consultation rooms, offering services such as flu and travel vaccinations and blood pressure checks.

Jenny Rose, director of stores at Boots, said: “We’re really delighted to be opening our new store today.
“It shows a long-standing commitment we’ve got to the city of Wolverhampton.
“We’re delighted to be able to showcase the very best of Boots across this site and welcome our optician and hearing care partners.”

Mark Wild, the new store manager at Boots Wolverhampton St Johns Retail Park, said it was “fantastic” to open the doors and welcome new customers to the brand new store and he added: “I’m looking forward to working with the 25 new team members and meeting the needs of our local community in Wolverhampton.”
Bosses at Boots stressed the new store is a “new opportunity, not instead of” the pharmacy giant’s existing city centre store in the Mander Centre.
The new store is open from 9am to 8pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 7pm on Saturdays and 10.30am to 4.30pm on Sundays.
