The annual event, originally set to take place on May 24, will now be held from May 28 to 30, 2021, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Festival director Lorraine Conkey said: "We hoped that the situation with the coronavirus would have improved enough by the end of May obviously it’s evident that we cannot continue with the event this year.

"It was the one decision I hoped we wouldn’t have to make and we’d all be ‘back to normal’ by now but of course we are no at that stage yet.

"The safety and wellbeing of our visitors, exhibitors, traders and staff is always our primary concern and we thought rather than postpone until later in the year we would defer for the 12 months.

"We offer our sincere apologies to all involved and I can assure you that we at Staffs Fest are equally as disheartened and disappointed.

"We have asked all the bands booked for 2020 to play in 2021 and we will still be championing local cancer support charity Terrible Titties and Other Bitties for this year."

Pre-paid ticket pitches will be automatically transferred to next year's rescheduled event. Those who wish for a refund can contact admin@staffsfest.co.uk and we will arrange.

Lorraine continued: "We were so looking forward to welcoming you all to this year’s show but sadly it is not meant to be.

We plan to have the biggest and best Staffs Fest in 2021, we have decided to freeze the ticket prices too, prices start at £15 with free camping included and under 16s free with accompanying adult.

"I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank you all for your continued support of Staffs Fest and we look forward to seeing you all again in 2021.”
