James Wilde prevented the whitewash by taking the final frame for the C side, while Ben Davis registered a 37 break despite losing the opener.
Elsewhere, Poets Corner A began with a strong 4–1 victory over Bentley Moor A, while Stafford Road also collected five league points after winning 4–1 away at Poets Corner C.
The tightest contest of the week came between Wednesfield Cons and Charlemont BC A, with Wednesfield coming through 3–2 to take four points, while Charlemont A collected two from a closely-fought encounter.
Lichfield Road BC were the standout performers in Division One, powering to a 5–0 victory over Q Bar B. Richard Hooper, Ben Cross, Paul Maynard, Aaron Fellows and David Matthews all won their frames to complete the clean sweep. Matthews also knocked in a 40 break, helping Lichfield claim the maximum six points and take the early lead at the top of the table.
