Nuno: Wolves deserved more from better display

Nuno Espirito Santo said Wolves deserved a point – as they slipped to a second consecutive defeat at Brighton.

Glenn Murray's goal early in the second half was enough to earn the Seagulls a 1-0 win.

Wolves created a host of chances and amassed 25 shots to Brighton's seven, but couldn't find an equaliser.

Nuno said Wolves were 'not focused' for Murray's clinical strike, but he did feel his side performed better than against Watford last weekend.

"It's disappointing," he said. "I feel that we deserved more – we played better than last week, better than our opponents.

"I feel that we created a lot of chances and I'm disappointed that we conceded in the only moment when Brighton had a really clear shot.

"It was disappointing because we were not focused, and disappointing because sometimes the referee sees things and gives you things, and sometimes they don't see."

Nuno, having suffered back-to-back league defeats for the first time as Wolves chief, insists they will learn from the loss at the Amex.

"Tough game, tough day but a good reaction from the boys," he added. "We have to look forward, knowing what happened.

"It was not the same as last week. We played better, deserved more, so we have to improve and make it next week.

"The result was not what we expect and not what the boys worked for, but the performance was good. It was better than against Watford and we had a reaction."
