Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo has been awarded the Premier League Manager of the Month award for September.

Nuno is presented with the Premier League Manager of the Month award by schoolgirl Hannah Parker.

The Portuguese boss beat Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp and Unai Emery to the award, having masterminded wins over West Ham, Burnley and Southampton - also securing a 1-1 draw with Manchester United over September.

He has also set a Premier League record for naming the same starting XI for the first eight matches of a season, and Nuno was joined in receiving the prize by the club’s medical staff who have helped keep his Wolves squad injury free.

Alongside his team of coaches, Nuno invited Richard Kirby, Tom Male, Rui Fuste, Phil Hayward, Dr Matthew Perry, Oliver Leaper, Matthew Wignall and Danny Fishwick to collect the prestigious Premier League award.

“I think we are doing ok - I think we started last season building, knowing that this year would be a different challenge and the answer of the players has been really good but we know that there is a long way to go yet." Nuno said.

Nuno has been named Premier League Manager of the Month for September - and has shared the award with the club staff.

“September was no doubt a very good month for us, tough games, I think before going away from international break it meant a lot.

“It represents the effort of everybody working here in Compton, everyone in Molineux, our fans, the players, everybody. It’s just, there’s no individual prizes in football, everything comes from the team. Everybody is in the pack, like I say - everybody’s inside the pack".

The 44-year-old was presented with the award by local schoolgirl, Hannah Parker - who has worked with the Wolverhampton Wanderers Foundation and Premier League Primary Stars programme to improve her performance in the classroom.
