Heading to Molineux? Here's everything you need to now about travelling to the Wolves ground and making the most of the facilities..

Published

Molineux is one of the most distinctive stadiums in the country, being one of the earliest post-Taylor report grounds. There are four large stands named after historical Wolves figures; the Billy Wright and Steve Bull stands running the length of the pitch, and the Stan Cullis and Sir Jack Hayward stands behind the goals. The more vocal fans are situated in the Sir Jack Hayward stand.

How do I get to Molineux?

Molineux is located on the northern edge of Wolverhampton city centre, next to the Wolverhampton University campus.

If arriving by car, drive in the direction of Wolverhampton city centre, and, right before the centre, turn onto the ring road. The stadium and junction with Waterloo Road are signposted from the ring road. Turn north onto Waterloo Road and follow until you see the stadium on your right.

From The South

Leave the M6 at Junction 10 and take the A454 towards Wolverhampton. Continue to follow the A454 right into Wolverhampton (be wary of speed cameras on the A454). On reaching the traffic island that intersects with the ring road, turn right. As you approach the 2nd set of lights look for the signs for football parking. The ground is over the 2nd set of lights on the right. Alternatively if you turn left into the city centre you may find a space in one of the many council run 'pay & display' car parks (see Car Parking below).

From The North

Leave the M6 at Junction 12 and take the A5 towards Telford and then turn onto the A449 towards Wolverhampton. On reaching the traffic island that intersects with the ring road, turn right. Then as South.

By Train

The walk from Wolverhampton Rail Station (or bus stations) will only take 10 minutes. When coming out of the rail station, turn right onto Wolverhampton's city centre ring road and follow until you see the stadium on the right side of the road.

Where can I park near Molineux?

Parking is limited in the surrounding area but the best option seems one of two. You can drive towards the town centre and parking is available in many pay and display car parks here ranging between £3 and £6 for five hours. The other option is to travel up to the stadium and use one of the official football parking car parks which are signposted. Both options are a short walk back to the ground.
