Phillips missed Saturday's 3-2 win over Preston North End with a muscle strain he picked up in the 2-0 win over Millwall.

Moore will assess his wing-back before Wednesday's match at Hillsborough but he won't risk the 27-year-old unnecessarily.

“We’re assessing him," said Moore. "We’ll have a look at it for Wednesday.

"It’s nothing too serious or bad, we just felt with the relentless schedule, you can’t risk people because there are games around the corner. We’ll have a look at him for Wednesday.”

Dwight Gayle came off in injury time on Saturday as a precaution after picking up a knock, but the in-form striker is fine and should be available on Wednesday.

Preston midfielder Josh Harrop ruptured his knee ligaments in the build-up to their second goal and is expected to be out for the rest of the season.
