Adil Nabi 'as good a finisher' as Berahino

West Brom academy manager Mark Harrison reckons Adil Nabi is as good a finisher as Saido Berahino.

Nabi is currently on loan at Delhi Dynamos in the Indian Super League, but the 21-year-old came through the club's youth teams with last season's top scorer Berahino.

Harrison has backed Nabi, who has never played for the first-team, to come back from India and force himself into contention.

He said: "The interesting thing is that Saido and Adil have been together for years. As long as I can remember, they've played up front together.

"I think that Adil is as technically as good as Saido and is as good a finisher as him."

Playing in front of large crowds in India will have helped Nabi develop as a player, Harrison claims.

He said: "Adil has just gone through the transition now of getting some experience working at first-team level.

"When he misses a chance he's got 20,000 people holding him to account.

"That pressure side of it, Saido was fortunate that he had some loans."

Harrison has been at the club for 11 years and sometimes used to drive both Nabi and Berahino home from training.

Nabi himself reckons he will come back from India in December both a better player and a different man.

He said: "I'm so pleased I took this opportunity because I can honestly say it has been fantastic. I feel I am doing well and making an impact."

Delhi are managed by Roberto Carlos and have marquee players like Florent Malouda and John Arne Riise.

Nabi said: "If I am honest, the club and, in fact, the whole league have been a surprise in a good way.

"The standard is higher than I imagined it would be and the big names are here not just for a pay day, there is a deadly serious desire to win the championship, especially with the Dynamos.

"That was made clear from the moment I arrived. We want the title.

"I don't know what will come next but I feel the Adil Nabi who returns to Albion will be a different footballer and a different man."
