Kidderminster Harriers beaten despite getting off to fast start

Kidderminster Harriers led twice but fell to a 4-2 National North defeat at home to King’s Lynn.

Ashley Hemmings volleyed Harriers ahead after just six minutes but the visitors levelled four minutes later through Chris Henderson.

The hosts were back ahead on 21 when Richard Peniket fired in off the post from the edge of the area.

Kings Lynn were back on level terms again after 35 minutes when Rory McAuley had a simple finish after keeper Cameron Gregory had got nowhere near a corner. And they went ahead five minutes in to the second period, Adam Marriott drilling in a low effort from just inside the area. Ryan Jarvis wrapped up the win for the visitors on 66 with a close-range finish.

Three second-half goals earned Halesowen Town a 3-0 win at Stamford in their FA Trophy first qualifying round replay. Montel Gibson scored twice and Reece Hewitt was also on target.

An early own goal from captain-for-the-night Charlie Gatter set the tone for Hednesford’s 2-0 Southern League Cup second-round defeat at Redditch.

Gatter also conceded a late penalty which Dombel Lucas converted.

Joe Berks scored twice in Stafford Rangers’ 4-0 win at Brocton in the Walsall Senior Cup first round.

Bradley Grayson also netted with Euan Garnett wrapping up the scoring.
