Gabriel Agbonlahor showed his support for Wolves goalkeeper Carl Ikeme with a T-shirt tribute after scoring for Villa against Hull City.

Gabriel Agbonlahor celebrates his goal by holding up a t-shirt in support of Wolves player Carl Ikeme's cancer battle

The 30-year-old striker held up a shirt which read “Get Well Soon, Thinking of You” and included a picture of Ikeme, who is battling leukaemia.

Agbonlahor is a friend of the 31-year-old goalkeeper and had recently paid him a visit.

Speaking after the game, Agbonlahor said: "It was nice to score for my friend Carl Ikeme, who's suffering from leukaemia, so it was a big day for me."

Agbonlahor got Villa’s season off to a perfect start when he fired home inside the opening seven minutes against the Tigers.

But Jarrod Bowen’s second half leveller earned the visitors a share of the spoils and spelled frustration for Steve Bruce’s hosts.
