Travellers move on to office site
Travellers have moved on to office space in Sandwell just days after being forced off two sites in Dudley.
Nine caravans set up camp on the car park of Dudley leisure centre on Tuesday, 24 hours after bailiffs forced them to move on from the Showcase Cinema site.
And yesterday travellers moved on to Shaftesbury House in High Street, West Bromwich, with the council working with local authorities to provide an enforcement notice.
Councillor Bawa Dhallu believes travellers illegally moving on to sites is an ongoing problem that needs to be addressed in both boroughs. He said: "It's an issue I've had to deal with a quite often in my time as councillor. Travellers just seem to move from one place to another."
