There will also be better pedestrian crossings to the proposed 307,000sq ft retail and leisure complex at Mill Green and cinema moved to the first floor.

It comes after a consultation period earlier this year and residents can now have their say again on the scheme which will bring more than 130 stores and create up to 800 jobs.

The plans will see it become the biggest shopping complex of its kind in the Midlands.

Changes to the original plans include making walkways wider and adding extra areas where people can gather and sit.

Bosses have also said they are committed to investing and making improvements at the nearby Mill Green Nature Reserve including the heritage trail.

The improved designs will go on display at South Staffordshire College's Cannock campus in The Green on Friday from 2-7pm and Saturday between 9am and 1pm.

Giles Membrey, managing director of the developers Rioja Developments, said today: "We are delighted to be in a position to display our plans and show how they have progressed as a result of public consultation and I would once again like to thank local people for all their feedback.

"We look forward to discussing the final revised plans and submitting our planning application in the coming weeks."

Although the layout and size of the development has not changed, the cinema is located on the first floor, allowing room for a welcoming space at ground level with places to eat, drink and socialise. A 2,000 space car park is also included in the proposals.

Bosses behind the ambitious development say it will rival the likes of Bicester Village in Oxford and Cheshire Oaks.

Big names such as Superdry, Paul Smith and Ralph Lauren are likely to open at the site off Lichfield Road and it will be the biggest outlet village in the Midlands.

If the proposals are approved, the outlet village could open by the end of 2017.

There were some initial concerns the scheme will draw shoppers away from town centres.

But council chiefs have previously welcomed the outlet village scheme hailing it as a boost for the area.

Council leader George Adamson said the site has enormous potential due to its location and could create a new, unique retail destination for the region.
