Boy held over stabbing in Wolverhampton is freed

A 15-year-old boy who was arrested in connection with a stabbing in Wolverhampton has been released without charge.

The boy answered bail on Friday and police have confirmed he has not been charged.

He was arrested on suspicion of wounding following two men suffering stab wounds after being asked for cigarettes in Whitmore Reans last month.

Catherine Hickman, spokeswoman for West Midlands Police, said: "The 15 year old has been released without charge. Further enquiries are ongoing."
