Three men fined for littering from vehicles in Walsall
Walsall Council has prosecuted three individuals for littering offences around the borough.
The three men have been handed fines after not paying fixed penalty notices issued for leaving litter in public places around Walsall.

On October 20 this year Henry Carless, of Kingstanding Road, Birmingham, was convicted of depositing litter on April 17, along High Street in Pelsall.
Carless was ordered to pay a £220 fine, £88 victim surcharge, and £276.72 in costs, totalling £584.72.

On October 17, Shakiel Powell, of Parkside Road, Halesowen, appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court for depositing litter on March 15, also on High Street in Pelsall.
Due to his means as a student, and credit for entering an early guilty plea, the district judge imposed a £60 fine, £24 victim surcharge and £85 in costs, totalling £169.

On October 14, Jake Chad Webb, of Glyn Avenue, Bilston, was convicted of depositing litter on December 10, 2024, in New Invention Square, Willenhall.
He was ordered to pay a £40 fine, a £16 victim surcharge and £100 in costs, totalling £156.
Councillor Adam Hicken, Walsall Council portfolio holder for enforcement and safe communities, said: "A lot of the fixed penalty notices we issue get paid on time, but let this serve as a warning: we will seek to take people to court where necessary.
"Everyone has a responsibility to dispose of their waste properly. Our enforcement work will continue, and we will keep targeting those who think they can get away with this behaviour."
Revenue from the fines is reinvested into enforcement activity to help combat future fly-tipping, littering and criminal activity, including CCTV monitoring, investigations, and helping the council to identify offenders.
