Boost for Bilston as traffic islands resurfaced as part of city-wide road maintenance plan
Three traffic islands in Bilston have been given a new lease of life as work to fix roads and tackle potholes across Wolverhampton continues.

Bilston forged a strong history, with its coal mining and steelmaking employing thousands. The town’s market is a long-standing feature along with the landmark town hall. The Robin 2 Club attracts acts from the UK and abroad. Although long since incorporated into Wolverhampton, the town retains a strong identity of its own. Among its famous sons is former Wolves and England goalkeeper Bert Williams who is remembered in the name of the town’s leisure centre.
