Roadworks in Walsall to start today

Drivers will be faced with diversions as a number of areas of Walsall are shut off for roadworks as of today.

Fryers Road, at the junction with Willenhall Lane, in Bloxwich, will be closed for three months.

MPB, on behalf of Network Rail, will be carrying out highways improvements while the road is closed.

Meanwhile, Wolverhampton Street, Market Place, Cross Street and Stafford Street in Willenhall will all be closed until Friday from 7pm to 6am as the roads are resurfaced.

Peel Street, between the junctions of New Road and Wolverhampton Street in Willenhall, will be closed until Wednesday for a fire hydrant to be repaired.

And Bentley Lane between Lane Avenue and Old Birchills will be closed for one day between 9.30an and 4pm.
