Man's body found in Stafford on Christmas Day

A man's body was found in Stafford on Christmas Day.

Police and paramedics were called to Radford Bank at about 8am.

The area was cordoned off to both vehicles and pedestrians.

His death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner, Staffordshire Police said.

A spokeswoman for Staffordshire Police said: "Colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service also attended the scene.

"At this time, the death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for HM Coroner."

Jamie Arrowsmith, spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: "One ambulance and a paramedic officer attended the scene. On arrival we discovered one patient, a man.

"Sadly, it quickly became apparent nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”
