Birmingham man charged over burglary in West Bromwich town centre
A man has been charged with burglary after being arrested following a break-in at a shop in West Bromwich.
West Midlands Police confirmed that Richard Brown had been charged with burglary following the incident in the early hours of Monday.
The 52-year-old, of Handsworth, was due to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Tuesday. No details are yet available for his appearance.
A spokesman for Sandwell Police said: "We’ve charged a man over a burglary in West Bromwich town centre.
"Officers quickly responded to a break-in at a shop in New Square at around 2.35am yesterday (December 1).
"A 52-year-old man was arrested shortly afterwards. Richard Brown from Handsworth has now been charged with burglary and remanded to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today (December 2)"
