Woman charged with robbery after arrest in Birmingham

A woman has been charged with robbery after she was arrested by police in Erdington.

Officers from West Midlands Police were called to Erdington High Street at around 2pm yesterday (Sunday) following reports of a robbery at a shop.

Officers from the Operation Skybridge team attended and arrested a 42-year-old woman.

The force has confirmed that Nicola Brown has now been charged with robbery, and is set to appear before magistrates at a later date.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Op Skybridge officers continue to carry out proactive enforcement across Birmingham, where they target offenders and disrupt crime.
