An ambulance was attacked by vandals while waiting at traffic lights morning.

The fast response vehicle had its wing mirror broken off on Soho Road, Birmingham, around 4.10am, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

West Midlands Police is investigating the incident.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We can’t believe it; we are absolutely fuming.

"Earlier this morning (4:10am) one of our rapid response vehicles was waiting at traffic lights on Soho Road in Birmingham when a member of the public, without warning, attacked the vehicle breaking off the wing mirror."
