Skills and apprenticeships show

City of Wolverhampton College expects more than 1,300 pupils to flock to a major skills and apprenticeships show it is organising.

The show is at Wolverhampton Racecourse, Dunstall Park, Wolverhampton, on Tuesday, March 27 from 10am to 2pm

Investigating a crime scene, helping to build a mini house and decorating hundreds of cupcakes are among the activities on offer on the day.

It offers a chance to meet employers and have a go at a range of activities giving a taste of the skills they would learn on different college courses,

More than 40 organisations will be exhibiting at the event including the Army, Royal Navy, Royal Marines and Army Reserves, West Midlands Ambulance Service, West Midlands Police, Barclays Bank, City of Wolverhampton Council, Express & Star, Lloyds Banking Group, Midland Metro Alliance, The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust and the University of Wolverhampton.

Members of the public interested in finding out about apprenticeship vacancies with local employers can also attend a later session from 4pm to 7pm and can book a free place at www.wolvcoll.ac.uk/event/skills-apprenticeship-show-march-2018/
