Wolves handed Liverpool clash in tough FA Cup draw
Wolves have been handed a tough FA Cup draw at home to Liverpool.
The Molineux clash will be played over the weekend of March 6-9 - with the tie likely to be selected for live TV coverage.
The good news for Wolves fans is that Liverpool's FA Cup record has not be stellar in recent seasons.
The Reds have not gone beyond the quarter-finals since they lifted the trophy four years ago.
Wolves secured their place in fifth round with a 1-0 victory in a mudbath at Grimsby on Sunday, while Liverpool claimed a 3-0 victory over Brighton at Anfield on Saturday evening.
The tie will be the fourth time the sides have met in the competition over the past decade. Wolves progressed in 2017 and 2019 though Liverpool won the most recent head-to-head three years ago.
