Heavy rain sparks yellow weather warning across Black Country and Staffordshire

A yellow weather warning has been issued as heavy rain is forecast in the West Midlands.

The Met Office has warned homes and businesses could be flooded as the rain pours down until Friday afternoon.

Rain and strong winds will push across the Black Country and parts of Staffordshire tonight, and tomorrow will begin dry before heavy showers continue. Friday is also set to see showers, according to the Met Office.

A spokesman said: "Delays or cancellations to train and bus services are possible.

"Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.

"Possible power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses, most likely across southwest England and south Wales.
