The New Jersey quintet will bring their acclaimed This House is Not For Sale tour to Coventry's Ricoh Arena next year, where they last performed in 2008.

Talking ahead of the shows, 56-year-old vocalist Jon Bon Jovi said: “Those huge shows, tens of thousands of people all together as one, that’s what we do".

Formed in 1983, Bon Jovi has released 13 studio albums, six compilations and three live albums.

The group was inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2006, and into the US Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame this year.

They are best known for a variety of hit songs, such as Wanted Dead or Alive, Always, Bed of Roses, You Give Love a Bad Name, Livin' on a Prayer and It's My Life.

Bon Jovi will be joined on tour by welsh rockers Manic Street Preachers.

The trio formed in 1986, and are best known for songs such as Your Love Alone Is Not Enough, A Design for Live, Motorcycle Emptiness, and If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next.

The group are also set to play Birmingham's O2 Academy next year to celebrate the 20th anniversary of number one album This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours.

Bon Jovi will play Coventry's Ricoh Arena on June 23.

Tickets go on sale from 9am this Friday.
