The giant orange mammoth kicked off the celebration with two birthday marches through the centre last Saturday led by Andy Day himself.

There was also a performance by Andy of his famous 'Dino Rap' and an official first reading of the new 'Where's Marmalade?' story book.

The centre featured a Marmalade party zone, complete with birthday cupcakes and a balloon photo wall along with an interactive Marmalade racing game live on the centre’s giant 230” big screen.

Robert Pickersgill, marketing manager at intu Merry Hill, said: “Our friendly mammoth has proven to be extremely popular with children and parents alike, so it was great to see lots of smiles on his birthday, especially when children spotted Marmalade and their favourite TV presenter roaming around the centre."
