Cinderella cast brings festive magic to Ronald McDonald House Birmingham
On Thursday, December 11, the cast and student ensemble from BOA Group’s Cinderella, currently dazzling audiences at The Old Rep Theatre this Christmas until New Year’s Eve, brought festive cheer to families at Ronald McDonald House Birmingham.
The cast, joined by the BOA student ensemble, performed a fun and interactive session for families, spreading a little of the magic and laughter from their hit pantomime. Cinderella, the Fairy Godmother, the Prince, and a host of other characters delighted children and parents alike, creating unforgettable moments for families facing challenging times.
Ronald McDonald House Charities UK operates 14 Houses across the UK, located near children’s hospitals. They provide free ‘home away from home’ accommodation for families with a seriously ill child, offering a warm and welcoming place to rest, cook, eat, and relax just moments from their child’s ward. The Houses help ease both emotional and financial strain, supporting tens of thousands of families since the charity was founded in 1989.

Emma Ferguson, Marketing and PR Officer for The BOA Group, said "Visiting Ronald McDonald House Birmingham has been a real highlight for us. It’s a privilege to bring the fun of the show to families who cannot get out to the theatre this Christmas. We’re delighted to have chosen Ronald McDonald House Charities UK as one of our charity partners this year. The work they do to keep families close is invaluable, and we’re proud to support their vital cause."

Vishal Duggal, House Manager at Ronald McDonald House Birmingham, said "I am delighted to welcome the Cinderella pantomime to our charity house this festive season. It offers a wonderful opportunity for families to come together, share in the magic of theatre, and create lasting memories. My team and I are deeply grateful to the organising company for their time, creativity, and dedication in bringing such joy to our families. Moments like these make a real difference to those who are going through a difficult phase in their lives."

Cinderella continues at The Old Rep Theatre until Wednesday, December 31, carrying on the theatre’s long tradition of festive family entertainment. The production follows Cinderella as she navigates the mischief of her larger-than-life stepsisters, the fun of the Fairy Godmother, and the magic of a sparkling ball – all set to a mix of laughter, song, and seasonal cheer.
