They are little people with big ambitions and all rose to the occasion when 50 children auditioned for a role as one of the seven dwarfs in Snow White at Wolverhampton's Grand Theatre.
The kids got their chance to shine on the big stage in this year's pantomime after it was decided that professionals were too expensive to play the part.
And the decision paid off handsomely as the talented hopefuls, aged eight to 12 and between 4ft 1in and 4ft 8in tall, thrilled the judges.
Actor Sam Kane, who stars with wife Linda Lusardi in Snow White and is helping to direct it, said after Saturday's auditions: "I was very impressed by the standard and I am sure the children will help make it a fantastic show.
"I cannot wait to appear again in pantomime at The Grand Theatre. It is one of my favourite venues."
Fourteen of the children who took part were selected to play the role. The eight girls and six boys will be split into two teams who will take it in turn to appear as the seven dwarfs during the pantomime that runs from December 10 to January 22.
