I love visiting this West Midlands town - and now it boasts the 'biggest independent romance bookshop in Europe'

I always love visiting Royal Leamington Spa - even its name makes it sound very regal and classy.

Leamington Spa is a lovely town to visit, full of different shops, restaurants and places for a drink.

I visited the other weekend and I was actually surprised by how many shops there are. You've got the likes of H&M, FatFace, Oliver Bonas, New Look and a lot of cute independent shops too.

I feel there is everything you need in the high street and there are also so many places to choose from if you're hungry.

I actually popped into Gail's bakery and had a delicious pastry with a latte. It was divine.

I love just strolling round Leamington as it has a really nice, relaxed vibe.

Not only are there so many shops and eateries about, there are lovely places for a walk too.

You've got Jephson Gardens with beautiful spring flowers and the River Leam that runs right alongside.

Inside the park there are ornamental lakes, bridges and weirs as well as Jephson Glasshouse with tropical plants and humid air - a complete contrast to outside.

It is such a peaceful place to have a walk around and it's something extra to do if you are out in Leamington for a shopping day. When the sun is shining it is lovely.

During my recent visit I also had to go and explore the newly opened bookshop, the Spicy Librarian - which is actually the biggest independent romance bookshop in Europe.

I have become an avid reader this year and so I was desperate to visit this new bookshop and see what it was all about.

The interior is very dark and cozy, perfect for the romance bookshop vibe, and it was brimming with people. There were so many books on display, seats dotted around with people reading and even a cafe at the back where you can enjoy a hot drink and something to eat.

I loved the space and the design, and I think it's a great addition to Leamington's high street.

The Spicy Librarian will be hosting a range of events like monthly book clubs, community nights and an indie author subscription club. So it is a perfect addition for locals and visitors alike who are avid readers.

If you are looking for a day out somewhere nice I would definitely recommend this town in the West Midlands.

It is often overshadowed by Stratford as tourists flock there for its history and beautiful surroundings, but Leamington has its own charms and quirks which make it definitely worth visiting.
