Non-league: Boss sent-off for celebrating after Stourbridge claim huge win
Glassboys score twice late on to win and boost survival hopes.
Boss Scott Adey-Linforth was sent-off for celebrating after Stourbridge completed a stunning stoppage time turnaround to beat St Ives Town.
The Glassboys scored twice in the added period to win 4-3 and claim what Adey-Linforth later described as a “massive” three points in their fight against the drop from the Southern League Central Premier.
Adey-Linforth, already booked earlier in the match, was shown a second yellow card for getting involved in the celebrations which followed Tom Edge’s 94th minute winner.
Yet any annoyance at being given his marching orders, paled against the joy of what the result meant for his team.
He said: “Today is three massive points. We will look at the next six games now, which are equally as big but today is definitely one we will enjoy.
“We have done it a few times now this season, coming back from the dead. For a team in our position it’s a good trait to have.”

Halesowen Town boss Russell Penn was left with very different emotions after his team were on the end of a late winner at Real Bedford.
Jordan Ponticelli’s equaliser looked to have earned the Yeltz a valuable point in their push for a play-off place, only for Jack Morrell to win it for the hosts in the 96th minute.
“We are our own worst enemy at times,” said Penn. “Our game management is so poor and has been poor all season.
“The ball is down in our top third and 10 seconds later it is in the back of our net. I don’t know how it happened. It is not good enough.”
Adam Murray was another unhappy manager after Kidderminster Harriers failed to take advantage of a brilliant start at Oxford City.
Kieren Donnelly scored one of the quickest goals in club history when he netted just eight seconds into the match but Harriers were eventually beaten 3-2, with Murray left frustrated at a “disjointed” performance.
“We haven’t been that all season,” he said. “We have not conceded goals like that, three massive errors.
“I am in a little bit of shock, I think, because I am not used to seeing it. The game was out of control for both teams.”

Hednesford Town’s good run came to an abrupt halt with a 3-0 defeat at Workington.
Jake Allen, Steven Swinglehurst and Keelan Leslie got the goals for the home side, with the Pitmen now falling three points behind Northern League Premier leaders Hebburn Town.
At the other end of the table, Rushall Olympic remain in deep trouble after a 3-1 home defeat to Guiseley.
Anthony Dwyer’s early goal got the Pics off to the perfect start but Luke Enright’s penalty miss on the stroke of half-time turned the game’s momentum.
Sporting Khalsa are in the West Division drop zone after a 6-1 defeat at Nantwich Town, with Stafford Rangers just one place above following a 2-0 loss at Congleton Town.
Darlaston Town lost 3-0 at home to Witton Albion, Chasetown drew 2-2 with Kidsgrove while in the Midlands Division, Lichfield City won 4-2 at Belper to keep their play-off hopes alive.
