Wolves got their season back on track with a totally dominant display to brush aside feeble Norwich at Molineux, writes Mark Douglas.

A 23rd minute thunderbolt from the outstanding Kevin Foley got the ball rolling on an afternoon when Mick McCarthy's men recaptured the style and swagger of last season.

The right back picked the ball up from a half cleared corner, skipped past two men and fired a fizzing drive past Norwich goalkeeper David Marshall.

That goal calmed the nerves of the Molineux masses and they were purring again on 35 minutes when Andy Keogh capped a dazzling run with a fine long range drive, a much needed first of the season.

That was where the scoring ended but it was hardly a fair reflection on a contest where Wolves demolished The Canaries.

Outstanding performances from Michael Kightly and Stephen Ward on either wing had The Canaries on the rocks virtually from the first minute and Wolves looked a different side from the team that slumped to that depressing midweek defeat against Hull.

McCarthy's men looked every inch the promotion contenders as time and time again they carved open The Canaries.
