Tony Pulis braced for busy end to transfer window
Tony Pulis today predicted a busy end to the transfer window – as he played down his decision to drop Joleon Lescott.
Pulis believes the Baggies are in urgent need of more new signings with less than a fortnight remaining to bring in new faces.

He has made five signings so far this summer but striker Rickie Lambert was the only one of the new-boys to start Saturday's goalless draw at Watford after James Chester and James McClean were dropped.
"It's going to be a busy couple of weeks for us," said Pulis. "We want to bring quite a few more in and there could be people leaving.
"The window is a nightmare at times, especially for clubs like us in transition.
"You don't know where you are, what you're doing.
"You're hoping you get a good two weeks and then close it and we can concentrate on the football.
"The chairman knows we need to change things and improve in certain areas and we need to do that quickly at the moment because we've only got one experienced goalkeeper.
"Coming into these games you're hoping and praying that nothing happens to Boaz.
"There are certain areas where we're a little bit loose and in other areas we are over-cooked. We have to trim there and get other people in."

Pulis hopes to complete the signing of Cardiff goalkeeper David Marshall in the next few days while Lescott could still leave.
Villa remain interested in the former England centre-back, who was left out at Vicarage Road. "Joleon's fine," said Pulis. "He's a great pro, he knows my reasons and we spoke about it. I've great respect for him.
"Senior players who have done so much in their careers, they've done it because they're good professionals. He was brilliant, first-class.
"I thought Jonas Olsson and Gareth McAuley were super for us.
"I thought Craig Gardner and James Morrison would do a good shift for us inside the pitch because Watford play very wide and I thought we could find some space inside the pockets, but we didn't really do that, especially first half."
