Gabriel Tamas playing for his West Brom future
West Brom defender Gabriel Tamas today admitted he is playing for his future as he revealed he wants to extend his Hawthorns contract.
The Romania international's current deal expires at the end of next season but the 29-year-old is keen to land an extension.

Tamas has impressed while deputising for injured centre-back Jonas Olsson and produced another solid display in Saturday's 1-1 FA Cup draw at Queens Park Rangers.
The 29-year-old said: "I am enjoying being in the team and let's hope I can stay in the team for the season. I am pleased with my form.
"I feel very good and I don't think I am playing badly. I am very happy because I am in the team and starting games. I have this year and a year more here.
"Would I like to stay longer? Why not? I enjoy myself here and I like the club. I feel very good. Let's hope they can agree to something and I can stay here."
Tamas and his fellow defenders kept Rangers quiet for 91 minutes on Saturday before Kieron Dyer's stoppage-time equaliser forced a third round replay for the right to host Sheffield Wednesday or Milton Keynes Dons in round four.
Tamas added: "It was a tough finish and it was too bad that we conceded a goal in the last minute. But that is football. What can you do?
"We played well and defended very well and we scored with 10 minutes to play. But what happened afterwards was just football.
"We didn't go there to put on a show, we went there to get a result – whether it be a win or a draw.
"Now they need to come to our home and we have played well there so far this season.
"We have played better at home than away at times during the campaign. We went to QPR and did our job. We didn't lose and that's what FA Cup games are about.
"If you go away you have to make sure you don't lose. We want to win every game and in the FA Cup, if you win six games you win the trophy, so why not go for it?"
