Walsall's early League Two promotion odds revealed

The latest League Two promotion odds for 2026-27.

The early League Two odds for 2026-27 have landed and Walsall are not particularly fancied by the bookmakers.

In fact, Walsall are 6/1 to end an eight-year hiatus from League One with a 14 per cent probability of promotion - according to Betting Odds.

Barnet and Rotherham United are the early favourites at 2/1 apiece - with Chesterfield and Port Vale also significantly backed at 9/4.

Newly-promoted York City and League Two play-off semi-finalists Grimsby Town are 11/4 - while beaten finalists Salford City start at 12/5.

As for the title, Barnet and Rotherham are once again the top pick at 10/1 with Walsall all the way out at 20/1.

In contrast, the Saddlers were 10/1 to lift the league this time last year and 11/4 for promotion.

However after losing the play-off final to Wimbledon in 2025, Walsall finished 13th last season to register their lowest finish in three years.
